JFG Exhibit hall bamboo art
The piece in this photo is called “Sparrows Among Bamboo” and it’s a piece of art dated to the Showa era. It is on display at the exhibit hall in the upper gardens. With two pieces of pottery on either end of the painting. -
JFG hall French pottery
The pieces inside the cabinet are done by a French artist Emile Galle (1846-1904), who is one of the major innovators in the French Noveau movement. These pieces of pottery are found in the exhibit hall in the upper garden. -

Entrance Stone
The entrance stone is inscribed with the kanji characters of Japanese Friendship garden’s name San-Kie-En (Three stones Garden: water, pastoral, mountain). The stone was donated by the San Diego Yokohama Sister city society. -
